White Castle is asking customers in Cincinnati, Louisville and New Jersey to help decide whether two new items should become permanent additions to its national menu.
Public Tasting Will Guide Final Menu Decision
The company has begun serving a new slider and a salty snack in select markets, using customer response to determine whether the items move beyond the test phase.
The new offerings include:
- Cheddar Smoked Sausage Slider with a smoked sausage link infused with cheddar cheese and topped with caramelized onions on the chain’s signature bun
- Pretzel Nibblers, soft pretzel nuggets fried to a golden brown and tossed in kosher salt, served with warm cheese sauce
White Castle says the regional trial is part of an ongoing effort by its culinary team to explore new flavor combinations and update its lineup of small-format foods.
The company’s vice president Jamie Richardson said customer feedback often shapes which limited-run items eventually appear nationwide.
Customers in the three test regions can sample the slider and nibblers now, though availability will vary by location and remain only while supplies last.
