As airports brace for one of the heaviest travel surges of the year, Church’s Texas Chicken is extending a holiday gesture to Transportation Security Administration staff who work through the rush with little recognition.
From November 24 to 28, TSA employees who present a valid work badge at any participating Church’s location in the United States can receive a free Texas 2-PC Feast. The meal includes:
- Two pieces of chicken, a leg and a thigh
- A Honey-Butter Biscuit
- A jalapeño pepper
The offer is valid for dine-in only and can be redeemed once per employee. No purchase is required.
Navin Sharma, the company’s chief marketing officer, said TSA workers shoulder demanding schedules during the holiday period and often miss time with their own families. He said the giveaway is a small acknowledgment of their role in keeping travel moving safely.
Church’s recently marked World Kindness Day by hosting a surprise appreciation event for more than 300 TSA workers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The gathering featured meals, games and an appearance by the company’s mascot, Churchie. TSA staff who were on duty elsewhere at the time received vouchers so they could collect a Texas 2-PC Feast later.
The company, headquartered in Atlanta, is among the latest businesses extending gestures of support to frontline airport workers ahead of a holiday season expected to push passenger volumes near record levels.
