Wingstop is rolling out a new limited-time flavor, Fiery Lime, offering a spicy contrast to the usual fall and winter staples. Available nationwide, the flavor blends red chili heat with lime zest, drawing inspiration from a spicy margarita.
A Shift from Typical Seasonal Flavors
Fiery Lime arrives as the chain positions itself outside traditional holiday trends. Wingstop says the flavor caters to customers seeking something sharper and bolder for gatherings ranging from watch parties to pregame meetups.
The company’s Head of Culinary and R&D, Chef Larry Bellah, said the new option grew out of the popularity of chili-forward margaritas. Bellah suggested pairing the sauce on classic wings with ranch and even using additional Fiery Lime seasoning to rim a cocktail glass.
Teremana Tequila’s global brand ambassador, Alan Ruesga-Pelayo, also weighed in, noting the flavor pairs with the brand’s Reposado tequila for a spicier take on a margarita.
Spicy Margarita Recipe Included in Release
announcement includes a group-size margarita recipe featuring Teremana Reposado and a Fiery Lime–rimmed glass. Ingredients listed for 8–10 servings:
2 cups tequila
¾ cup lime juice
½ cup agave nectar
2 sliced and seeded jalapeños
Fiery Lime seasoning for rimming the glass
The directions call for muddling the jalapeños, combining the remaining ingredients with ice, and serving over fresh ice with a jalapeño garnish.
Fiery Lime is available for a limited time through Wingstop restaurants, the Wingstop app, and the company’s website.
