Taco Bell is introducing a new take on one of its most popular menu staples: the quesadilla. The fast-food chain announced it will roll out the Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla nationwide starting November 20, marking both the debut of the poblano pepper on its national menu and the brand’s first rolled quesadilla format.
The new item features fire-roasted poblano peppers, marinated steak, melted cheese blend, spicy Ranch sauce, and a warm, hand-held tortilla wrap.
The company says the dish builds on the comfort of the traditional quesadilla while offering a portable version for customers on the go.
Poblano Pepper Takes the Spotlight
The poblano pepper, known for its mild heat and smoky flavor, is the central ingredient in Taco Bell’s latest release. “With the debut of the Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla, we're celebrating the unique flavor profile of the poblano pepper in a new form,” said Luis Restrepo, Taco Bell’s Chief Marketing Officer, in the press release.
The item expands on Taco Bell’s history with quesadillas, which have been a mainstay on its menu for decades. The rolled version is presented as an evolution of the classic; smaller, easier to eat, but layered with familiar and bold flavors.
Limited-Time Box and Sweater Giveaway
For a limited period, customers can order the Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla as part of the $9 Discovery Luxe Cravings Box, which also includes:
One Doritos Locos Taco
One Crunchy Taco
Chips with Nacho Cheese Sauce
A medium fountain drink
In a nod to the “cozy season” theme, Taco Bell is also launching a giveaway for 300 exclusive knit sweaters inspired by the new menu item.
Taco Bell Rewards members can enter the Poblano Sweater Tuesday Drop on December 9 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. PT through the Taco Bell app. Winners will receive hand-loomed, organic cotton sweaters valued at $75 each.
The Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla will be available at participating Taco Bell locations nationwide for a limited time, while supplies last.
