McKee Foods is rolling out a single-serve, twin-wrapped version of its long-running Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcake Roll to give convenience-store shoppers a portable option of a snack that has been part of the brand’s lineup since 1966.
The company said the updated release keeps the familiar yellow cake, strawberry-flavored jelly and creme filling that have defined the product for decades.
Chuck Clevenger, associate brand manager at McKee Foods, said the move makes the snack easier for people to pick up on the go while keeping the same flavor profile customers expect.
The product arrives in bright new packaging and extends the brand’s effort to refresh interest in its classic items while maintaining familiarity for long-time fans.
What’s new in the single-serve release
- Twin-wrapped with two rolls ineach package
- Yellow cake with creme and strawberry-flavored fruit filling
- Long-standing Little Debbie item in a more portable format
- Individually wrapped for freshness and easier carrying
- Expected to reach retail shelves soon
The launch marks a new variation within the Little Debbie range as McKee Foods leans on nostalgia while adapting to changing snacking habits.
