Yogurtland Partners with Universal Pictures to Celebrate Back to the Future’s 40th Anniversary with New Flavor

Limited-time offering includes Caramel Apple Pie flavor and churro topping.

Yogurtland is rolling out a limited-time frozen yogurt flavor to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future, the iconic sci-fi film franchise.

In collaboration with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, the chain will serve a special flavor called “Great Scott! Caramel Apple Pie” from October 20 through November 30 at participating locations across the U.S.

The autumn-inspired flavor will also be available in a swirl combination with Yogurtland’s classic vanilla, dubbed the “Apple Pie à la Mode Swirl.”

Customers can also top off their frozen yogurt with a themed treat called “Doc’s Churro Bites.”

The partnership ties in with the film’s original release in 1985, as well as Back to the Future Day on October 21, a fan-favorite date referenced in the movie.

To mark the occasion, Yogurtland will offer 30% off in-store purchases to customers who arrive dressed as either Doc Brown or Marty McFly.

Another promotional event, Fan Appreciation Day, will take place on October 27. On that day, Yogurtland will offer buy-one-get-one free deals and double rewards points for members of its loyalty program, Real Rewards.

The anniversary edition of Back to the Future is now available to buy on 4K Ultra HD and Digital through Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
