Tyson Foods has launched a new line of frozen, microwaveable chicken products packaged in individual cups, targeting consumers seeking convenient, protein-rich foods. The Tyson Chicken Cups are now available nationwide in grocery freezer aisles.
The cups feature familiar Tyson products in a new single-serve format that can be heated and ready to eat in under two minutes.
The release includes four varieties: Grilled Boneless Chicken Bites, Lightly Breaded Boneless Chicken Bites, Popcorn Chicken Bites, and a new “Mini Dino Nuggets” cup—an expansion of the brand’s popular line of dinosaur-shaped chicken products.

Each cup provides at least 30 grams of protein per serving and is designed to be eaten directly from the container after microwaving.
Dawnna Bowen, Vice President of Innovation at Tyson Foods, said the product was developed in response to consumer demand for more portable and accessible options for chicken consumption.
“With the popularity of chicken and consumer demand for portable, protein-rich foods, we needed to find a way to make our products even more accessible throughout the day,” Bowen said in a statement.
According to data cited by the company, 80% of Americans include protein in at least one meal per day, with meat preferred over other protein sources such as eggs, dairy, or nuts.
Tyson’s new chicken cup format appears to be a first of its kind in the frozen poultry category and aligns with broader food industry trends toward convenience and high-protein snacking.
