Portland to Host First-Ever Craft Chocolate Festival This October

The city’s growing craft chocolate scene will take center stage this fall with the launch of the inaugural Portland Craft Chocolate Festival, a three-day event spotlighting local bean-to-bar chocolate makers and artisans.

The festival will run from October 3–5, 2025 at the historic Olympic Mills building in Southeast Portland (107 SE Washington St). Organized by Ranger Chocolate Co., the event aims to connect chocolate enthusiasts with the people behind the craft through tastings, workshops, and maker-led demonstrations.

More than 30 chocolate producers are expected to participate in the weekend Market, open Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees can sample and purchase a variety of small-batch chocolate products, meet the makers, and join in scheduled talks and demos.

The first 200 visitors each day will receive free festival swag bags, while kids 8 and under get in free with an adult.

The festival kicks off Friday evening with a VIP event (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) featuring small bites, cocktails by Straightaway, and non-alcoholic options from Still/Spark.

Organizers say the event will emphasize ethical sourcing and sustainability, and they hope to make it an annual tradition in the city’s culinary calendar.
