Panda Express is introducing a new limited-time entrée Crispy Sesame Shrimp & Beef, starting October 8. The dish combines battered shrimp and crispy beef strips with vegetables in a savory, slightly spicy umami sauce.
The surf-and-turf meal is cooked in a wok and draws influence from the classic Sichuan dish, Mouthwatering Chicken. It brings together elements from Honey Walnut Shrimp and Beijing Beef, two of the chain’s popular items into a single offering.
The dish will be available at Panda Express locations nationwide while supplies last.
Wok Wednesdays for Rewards Members
Alongside the new menu item, the fast-casual chain is launching a weekly digital feature called Wok Wednesdays, available exclusively through the Panda Rewards app.
The app-based game allows users to catch ingredients and simulate wok cooking. Players can unlock same-day reward offers by participating. The company says the feature gives members new ways to interact with the brand and receive purchase-based gifts.
“Wok Wednesdays” is intended to increase digital engagement and encourage visits during the middle of the week.
To access the new game and earn rewards, customers need to be Panda Rewards members. The app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
