Hillshire Farm Enters Freezer Aisle with New Line of Frozen Sandwiches and Snacks

Tyson Foods expands Hillshire Farm into frozen foods with launch of croissants and ciabatta sandwiches.

For the first time in its history, Hillshire Farm is moving beyond the refrigerated section and into the freezer aisle. The brand, a staple of deli meats and a part of the Tyson Foods portfolio, has announced a new line of frozen handheld snacks and sandwiches aimed at consumers looking for quick, protein-packed meal options.

The launch includes two new product lines: Stuffed Croissants and Ciabatta Deli Sandwiches, both made with familiar Hillshire Farm meats and ready in just minutes. The move marks a notable expansion for the brand into the growing frozen snack market.

New Products

Hillshire Farm Stuffed Croissants (9–12 grams of protein per serving):

  • Ham & Cheese – Black Forest ham and cheddar cheese
  • Buffalo Style Chicken – Diced chicken, mozzarella, and Buffalo-style sauce
  • Philly Style Cheesesteak – Beef, cheese, onions, and green bell peppers

Hillshire Farm Ciabatta Deli Sandwiches (20–25 grams of protein per serving):
