Dollar General is rolling out a series of aggressive holiday discounts in a push to help consumers manage seasonal expenses, announcing deep cuts on everyday items, food, home décor, and gifts as part of its “Jolly Good Deals” campaign.
Kicking off with a 7 Days of Savings event from October 5–11, the retailer is offering steep one-day-only discounts on products across multiple categories.
Notable deals include a Craig Bluetooth speaker marked down from $20.50 to $8 and Smithfield Roll Sausage discounted to 2 for $6 from its regular $4.95 price.

BOGO Offers Across Categories
The event also features a range of buy-one-get-one-free offers, including items like:
- Betty Crocker Blueberry Muffin Mix
- True Living Bakeware
- Lily’s Toaster Grills
- Fisher Boy Fish Sticks
- Dial personal care products.
Beyond the initial week of deals, Dollar General plans to run weekly 3-Day Sales Events every Thursday through Saturday starting October 30. Shoppers can expect rotating promotions such as 25% to 50% off select items, more buy-one-get-one deals, and discounts on popular gift cards.
Holiday meal bundles will also see price reductions beginning October 19, with some offers including free Clover Valley-branded products.
The company says the campaign is part of its broader effort to support shoppers during a financially demanding time of year. “We know the holidays can be stressful,” said Emily Taylor, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.
“We’re here to help make them more affordable, joyful, and memorable through fantastic finds and hidden gems that meet our customers’ budgets,” she concluded.
The promotional push reflects a growing trend among retailers looking to attract cost-conscious shoppers amid ongoing inflation and changing consumer spending habits.
