Del Taco is introducing a new chicken-focused menu, rolling out nationwide starting September 30. Called the Del Dorado Chicken Menu, the lineup features freshly grilled, marinated chicken served across several formats including burritos, tacos, a quesadilla, and the chain’s signature Crunchtada®.
The chicken is grilled daily and marinated in garlic, lime, and pepper. Each item includes a new Salsa Roja made with roasted tomatillos and chipotle peppers, as well as toppings like spicy jack cheese, shredded cabbage, and guacamole.
The new items include:
- Del Dorado Chicken Epic Burrito: A large flour tortilla packed with grilled chicken, Salsa Roja, spicy jack cheese, beans, onions, cabbage, tomato, sour cream. (In Colorado, this will be called the Macho Burrito.)
- Del Dorado Chicken Grilled Burrito: Includes chicken, Salsa Roja, spicy jack cheese, cilantro lime rice, cabbage, pico de gallo, and sour cream, grilled in a flour tortilla.
- Del Dorado Chicken Taco: A flour tortilla filled with grilled chicken, Salsa Roja, spicy jack cheese, cabbage, and guacamole, served with a lime wedge.
- Del Dorado Chicken Quesadilla: Chicken, spicy jack cheese, and Salsa Roja grilled in a folded flour tortilla, served with guacamole and sour cream.
- Del Dorado Chicken Crunchtada®: A thick, crunchy shell topped with chicken, Salsa Roja, spicy jack cheese, beans, jalapeños, diced tomatoes, and sour cream.
Also making a return is the Orange Cream Shake, a blend of vanilla and Fanta® Orange, available for a limited time.
The new menu will be available through November 11.
This launch follows recent recognition for the chain in USA TODAY’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards, where Del Taco was named Best Fast Food Restaurant and took top honors for Best Fast Food Fries.
