In honor of rapper Drake’s birthday, Dave’s Hot Chicken is once again handing out free food, a tradition that’s now entering its third year.
On October 23, customers who visit any Dave’s Hot Chicken location and scan the Dave’s Hot Chicken app will receive a free slider, no purchase required.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time at all of the chain’s restaurants. The offer is not available through online orders or delivery apps, and must be redeemed in person.
Drake became an investor in Dave’s Hot Chicken more than five years ago. The Los Angeles-based chain has since honored his birthday annually by giving away sliders to fans across the U.S. and internationally.
Dave’s Hot Chicken, which started in a parking lot in East Hollywood in 2017, has since grown into a popular national brand with a reputation for Nashville-style spicy chicken and a strong presence on social media.

Customers can choose from seven spice levels, ranging from No Spice to Reaper™, the hottest option, which requires a signed waiver.
The company says the annual birthday promotion helps connect with fans and celebrate Drake’s ongoing involvement with the brand.
