Cold Stone Creamery has kicked off the Halloween season with the return of its popular Boo Batter Ice Cream, along with a limited-time lineup of themed treats available through October 31 at participating locations across the U.S.
The seasonal black-colored ice cream serves as the base for three Halloween-themed menu items: the Treat or TreatCreation™, the Witches’ Boo Shake, and the Boo Batter™ Ice Cream Taco.
The Treat or Treat Creation mixes Boo Batter Ice Cream with KIT KAT, Halloween OREO Cookies, and M&M’S, creating a candy-loaded combination tailored for the season. The Witches’ Boo Shake features the same spooky ice cream blended with Halloween OREO Cookies, topped with whipped cream and spooky sprinkles.
For those looking for something a little different, the Boo Batter Ice Cream Taco offers a twist—ice cream served in an orange waffle taco shell, dipped in chocolate and finished with sprinkles.
Courtney Maxedon, Vice President of Marketing and Digital Strategy at Kahala Brands, the parent company of Cold Stone Creamery, said the menu aims to strike a playful balance between fun and flavor.

While Boo Batter Ice Cream has appeared on Cold Stone’s menu in previous years, its return continues to be a seasonal favorite for fans drawn to both its unique color and nostalgic candy mix-ins.
The Halloween treats are available for a limited time, with Cold Stone urging customers to visit before they vanish after October 31.
