Ben & Jerry’s to Donate Waffle Cone Sales to Support Immigrant Farmworkers’ Rights

Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops across the U.S. will be using their signature waffle cones to raise funds and awareness for immigrant farmworkers this fall.

From October 21 through November 4, the ice cream chain will launch its “Waffle Lotta Good” campaign, with proceeds supporting Migrant Justice, a Vermont-based, farmworker-led human rights organization.

The effort marks the eighth year of collaboration between Ben & Jerry’s and Migrant Justice, particularly through the “Milk With Dignity” program, which promotes fair labor practices and improved working conditions on dairy farms.

The campaign comes at a time when farmworker advocates say immigrant laborers continue to face detention, family separation, and unsafe work environments.

“Immigrant farm workers sustain the dairy industry, yet we are being targeted, detained, and separated from our families,” said Migrant Justice spokesperson Olga Cruz. “This partnership with Ben & Jerry’s will allow Migrant Justice to continue organizing to defend and protect our community.”

During the two-week campaign, customers who purchase any waffle cone at participating Scoop Shops will be supporting Migrant Justice’s efforts. In previous years, the same campaign raised $150,000 for Black Voters Matter.

Ben & Jerry’s U.S. Activism Manager Palika Makam emphasized the company’s continued focus on using its platform for advocacy. “The Waffle Lotta Good campaign allows our fans to take action and support immigrant communities whose rights are being violated,” Makam said.

While not a new menu rollout, the campaign draws attention to one of the company’s most popular in-store items. Customers interested in participating can find more information and locate participating shops by visiting benjerry.com/wafflelottagood.

What’s New on the Menu for the Campaign

While the focus is on waffle cones, Scoop Shops are also offering special items as part of the “Waffle Lotta Good” campaign:

  • Classic hand-rolled waffle cones with any scoop
  • Dipped waffle cones (chocolate-dipped with toppings)
  • Waffle cone sundaes featuring fall-themed flavors

Proceeds from these purchases will help fund Migrant Justice’s continued advocacy for labor rights within the dairy industry.
