ALDI Cuts Thanksgiving Meal Price to $40

Holiday meal for 10 now cheaper than last year, includes turkey and nine side dishes.

Amid ongoing inflation and rising food prices, ALDI has announced it will offer a full Thanksgiving meal for 10 people for just $40, marking a price drop from last year.

The $4-per-person deal includes a 14-pound turkey and ingredients for nine traditional side dishes including stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, mac and cheese, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pumpkin pie.

The 21 individual items are available in stores without the need for coupons or loyalty memberships.

Atty McGrath, CEO of ALDI U.S., said the move comes at a time when families are struggling to keep grocery costs down. “Saving our shoppers money is our mission every day – but is especially important during the holidays when they need it most,” she said in a statement.

Recent federal consumer data shows grocery staples, including meats and produce, continue to trend higher in price compared to last year. ALDI’s price drop bucks that trend.

Scott Patton, Chief Customer Officer for ALDI U.S., said the Thanksgiving holiday is when the company’s emphasis on value stands out most.

“We believe families shouldn’t have to make trade-offs to feed everyone, especially at Thanksgiving,” Patton said.

The meal deal is available beginning October 15 and runs through December 24. Shoppers can buy items in-store, or order online via ALDI’s grocery delivery partners including Instacart, Uber Eats, and DoorDash.
